Abstract
This document contains the detailed system requirements for the 8.5 release of the Lotus Notes® client, Lotus® Domino Designer® client, and Lotus® Domino® Administrator client.

Notes Client (standard configuration)
Supported versions
- Microsoft Windows XP Professional (32-bit), Service Pack 2 or later
- Microsoft Windows XP Professional with FDCC x86-32
- Microsoft Windows XP for Tablet PC
- Microsoft Windows Vista (32-bit): Enterprise, Ultimate and Business Editions
- Microsoft Windows Vista Enterprise with FDCC x86-32
- Microsoft Windows Vista for Tablet PC
Processors
- Intel Pentium or higher and compatibles, or equivalents
- Windows XP - Pentium 4, 1.2 GHz or higher
- Windows Vista - Pentium 4, 1.2 GHz or higher
- Windows XP - 512 MB minimum; 1 GB or more strongly recommended
- Windows Vista - 1 GB minimum; 1.5 GB or more strongly recommended
Disk space
- Install directory (C:\) - 900 MB or more recommended
- Hardware support for OpenGL
Monitor
- Color monitor required
- 1024x768 screen resolution minimum
- NetBIOS over IP (only Microsoft TCP/IP is supported)
- NetBIOS over IPX (Both Novell NetBIOS and Microsoft NetBIOS over IPX are supported.)
- TCP/IP (includes IPv6)
Linux
Supported versions
- SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop (SLED) 10 XGL (32-bit), Service Pack 2
Note: Support of future Service Packs for this OS is limited to SLED 10 SP3 only. SLED 10 SP4 (or later) is not supported for Notes 8.5.x. Customers should stay on SLED 10 SP3 or consider upgrading to SLED 11.
- RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5.2 Desktop (32-bit)
Note: AIGLX is not supported, and must be disabled
- Ubuntu 8.04 LTS Desktop Edition (32-bit)

Citrix support statement - The Notes standard client is supported on Citrix Presentation Server 4.5, on Windows 2003 server (32- and 64-bit), using Citrix ICA (Independent Computing Architecture) clients.
