Update 2 (September 2008)

An explanation for Windows systems in the section 'Collect trace or debug information for problem diagnosis' on page 282 is not correct.

The description says:

petrace [options] <instance name> <output directory>
where <instance name> is the name of the monitored DB2 instance, and <output directory> is the name of the directory to which the trace files are written.

<instance name>, however, is the name of the DB2 instance on which Performance Expert Server runs; it is not the monitored DB2 instance.

Update 1 (May 2008)

An explanation is added to Step 2 why you have to install OpenSSL on AIX when using CIM although Performance Expert Server does not yet support securing the CIM Server through Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). The explanation is that on the system on which the CIM Server should be running, the libssl.a library is required. The libssl.a library is part of the OpenSSL RPM file.
