CICS Transaction Server for z/OS (CICS TS) V4.1 and higher were not available at the time this presentation was given. So, the presentation contains examples with the CICS TS V3.1 verb exit DFHPD640 and some of the output from this verb exit will look different than the output from newer releases of CICS TS. However, you would still benefit from looking at the presentation, especially the beginning of the presentation which contains a lot of good information that is not CICS release specific.
Most of the verb exit commands should be the same from release to release with the exception of the verb exit itself (dfhpdxxx) which will vary. The value of xxx is 680 for CICS TS 5.1, 670 for CICS TS V4.2, 660 for CICS TS V4.1, 650 for CICS TS V3.2, and 640 for V3.1.
