Improving IMS Availability with Sysgen and Exits

Forum/discussion group

Abstract

The presentation attached below was given by Bill Keene at the 1998 IMS Technical Conference. It describes how IMS availability can be improved through the use of MVS exit routines, IMS exit routines, IMS sysgen options, PSBGEN options, and IMS EXEC parameters. A relatively small investment in implementing these exit routines, options, and parameters can result in sizable reductions in IMS unavailability.
