Abstract
To implement Tivoli Identity Manager, Version 4.5, you must complete a number of different tasks. Among these tasks is implementing the customer's provisioning-related business processes using the workflow capabilities of Tivoli Identity Manager. In addition to designing standard workflows, you can also customize and extend the out-of-the-box functionality by using both JavaScript and Java programming extensions. While the basic functionality of the Tivoli Identity Manager workflow component is described in the product documentation, a number of the features require additional explanation and clarification. The purpose of this document is to supplement the existing documentation and to provide a more complete description of the capabilities and limitations of the workflow component and its customization environment. This white paper covers the workflow component, workflow extensions, and the JavaScript environment.
