Tivoli Field Guide - Multi-client Installation Methods: IBM Tivoli Access Manager for Operating Systems
White paper
Abstract
IBM Tivoli Access Manager for Operating Systems is a product designed to protect many systems within a secure environment. Because the product must be installed onto many systems, the installation process can take more time than is desired because the same steps must be performed on each and every system. This field guide presents two methods of multi-client installation that can be used to reduce time to production:
o Installing by using Network File System (NFS) and silent installation with a configuration file, and
o Installing using the IBM Tivoli Configuration Manager in conjunction with the Tivoli Management Framework.
Each method ensures that every machine on which you install and configure the software is set up identically to every other machine that was set up through the same method.
