Abstract
The continuing introduction of security products makes it necessary for companies to migrate their current security implementation to the new set of tools. The migration process involves not only the replacement of existing software and policy infrastructure but also the migration of security policy. This field guide provides an in-depth view of what is involved when migrating an existing Tivoli Access Control Facility (TACF) security policy to an IBM Tivoli Access Manager for Operating System security policy. It examines different policy implementations in both products and proposes a framework for the security policy migration.
