Although written in 2002, it is still current in 2009.

Want to try to get the best possible performance out of your application systems but you're not quite sure how to go about it? The IBM COBOL and PL/I compilers and Language Environment offer several options that allow you to customize and adjust your run-time environment to your specific needs. These options are often generic, applicable to any language. Both the general cases and the specifics for a language will be covered. Come to this session and hear hints and tips on how you can get the best performance from your COBOL and PL/I applications.
