Abstract

This fix pack is a cumulative fix release and addresses APARs and internally found issues since the release of OMNIbus 7.4.0 fix pack 15

7.4.0-TIV-NCOMNIbus-FP0016
--------------------------

IV76618
An ObjectServer core dump can occur if the query optimiser is
enabled and a restriction filter containing a subselect clause is
assigned to a user who executes 'SELECT FROM VIEW' SQL
statements. This problem is now fixed.


IV97909
The isql.bat command fails to run and reports an error when run
on a Windows machine running in the German language. This issue
is now resolved.


IJ00362
Use of the genevent() function to insert into a target that did
not contain an Identifier field could cause invalid SQL to be
executed if the current invocation of the rules file had some
details() entries active. On versions of OMNIbus from v8.1.0.9 to
v8.1.0.14 this caused the probe to exit. This problem is now
fixed.


IV97315
It is now possible to disable specific SSL/TLS ciphers per
protocol for servers. For more information about configuration

IV81481
On Solaris operating systems, nco_confpack displays an error
message stating library libFilePermsJNI.so is not in library
search path. The problem occurs when nco_confpack is connected
to an ObjectServer containing an external automation that
references an executable file not recorded in
$NCHOME/omnibus/etc/exclusions.xml. The problem is fixed in this
release.


IV99760
To mitigate against CVE-2017-1000100, HTTP GET operations that
were performed by libcurl are now performed by libnhttpd.


IV82062
When using log file pools (via NDE_LOGFILE_USEPOOL environment
variable or the -logfileusepool probe command line option) any
existing log files were truncated. The correct behaviour is that
new log entries are appended to any existing files to avoid loss
of log files when a process restarts.

IMPORTANT: Before installing this fix, ensure that all Tivoli Network
Management applications on your computer have been shutdown.

Extract the contents of 7.4.0.16-TIV-NCOMNIbus-<arch>-FP0016.tar
in to a temporary directory, replacing the <arch> placeholder with the
string identifying your platform.

From within the directory enter the following command to install this fix
interactively.

./install.bin

Windows
-------

IMPORTANT: Before installing this fix, ensure that all Tivoli Network
Management applications on your computer have been shutdown.

Extract the contents of 7.4.0.16-TIV-NCOMNIbus-win32-FP0016.zip
in to a temporary directory.

To install this fix interactively double click install.exe.
