PI67166 resolves the following problem:
ERROR DESCRIPTION:
THE EJBDeploy component throws the following exception for
Portal users:
java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: JVMCFRE003 bad major
version; class=sun/rmi/rmic/Main, offset=6
LOCAL FIX:
PROBLEM SUMMARY
USERS AFFECTED:
All users of IBM WebSphere Portal Server
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
EJBDeploy does not use the correct
JDK Version.
RECOMMENDATION:
None
A JDK version other than the one specified by the user is
targeted by the the EJBDeploy operation resulting in the
following exception:
java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: JVMCFRE003 bad major
version; class=sun/rmi/rmic/Main, offset=6
PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
The logic responsible for the selection of the JDK Version to
use for EJB deployment was corrected.
The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 8.5.5.10. Please refer to the Recommended Updates
