IBM Cognos Connection Installer for Cognos Insight 10.2.1 Fix Pack 2 Interim Fix 5 should be applied to all IBM Cognos Connection Installer for Cognos Insight 10.2.1 Fix Pack 2 installations at your earliest convenience.



If you apply this IBM Cognos Connection Installer for Cognos Insight interim fix, you should also apply also IBM Cognos Business Intelligence Server 2016Q1 Security fixes.

Be sure to Install Cognos Insight Standard Edition 10.2.1 Fix Pack 2 Interim Fix 5 as well.

Prerequisites

This fix pack requires that Cognos Connection Installer for Cognos Insight 10.2.1 Fix Pack 2 is already installed on Cognos Business Intelligence 10.2.1.1 (i.e. 10.2.1 FP1) or higher.

Installation Instructions

To install the Interim Fix on a Cognos Business Intelligence server:

  1. Use the link in the Download package section of this document to download the appropriate file.
  2. Copy the downloaded file to the Cognos Business Intelligence server.
  3. Use a decompression tool to unpack the .tar.gz file.
  4. To begin the installation, double-click issetup from within the local directory where the file was unpacked.
  5. Follow the steps in the installation wizard until the installation is complete.
  6. If your Cognos Business Intelligence installation is distributed, repeat these steps to install the Cognos Connection Installer for Cognos Insight Interim Fix on each Cognos Business Intelligence gateway and application server tier.
