IBM Cognos Connection Installer for Cognos Insight 10.2 Fix Pack 1 Interim Fix 5 should be applied to all IBM Cognos Connection Installer for Cognos Insight 10.2 Fix Pack 1 installations at your earliest convenience.



If you apply this IBM Cognos Connection Installer for Cognos Insight interim fix, you should also apply IBM Cognos Business Intelligence Server 2016Q1 Security fixes.

Be sure to install Cognos Insight Standard Edition 10.2 Fix Pack 1 Interim Fix 5 as well.

Prerequisites

Before you install this fix pack, ensure Cognos Connection Installer for Cognos Insight 10.2 Fix Pack 1 is already installed.

Installation Instructions

To install the fix pack on a Cognos BI server:

  1. Use the link in the Download package section of this document to download the appropriate file.
  2. Copy the installation files to the Cognos BI server.
  3. On the Cognos BI server, use a decompression tool to unpack the .tar.gz file. The unpacked folders include one folder for each platform.
  4. From the folder that matches the platform of the Cognos BI server you are installing on, find and double-click the issetup file.
  5. Follow the steps in the installation wizard until the installation is complete.
  6. If your Cognos BI installation is distributed, repeat these steps to install Cognos Connection Installer for Cognos Insight on each Cognos BI gateway and application server tier.
