IBM SPSS Modeler Client 14.2 fix pack 3,
IBM SPSS Modeler Batch 14.2 fix pack 3,
IBM SPSS Modeler Server Admin Console 14.2,
IBM SPSS Text Analytics Server 14.2 fix pack 3

Affected Modules:

Installation Instructions:
-----------------------------------
1) a) Stop all instances of Modeler Server, Modeler Server Admin Console and Text Analytics if installed
b) Close all instances of Modeler Client and Modeler Batch

2) Download Service Refresh 16 Fix Pack 3 iFix for IBM JRE 6.0 from the requisite fix for this fix below

3) Uncompress the downloaded JRE fix and this package into a temporary folder

4) Move affected files/folders to a temporary back-up folder outside of the [INSTALLDIR] folder.

5) For Windows
Modeler
a) Copy the extracted /jre folder from the temporary folder into [INSTALLDIR]

Text Analytics Server - if installed
a) Move the extracted /jre folder from the temporary folder into [INSTALLDIR]/ext/bin/spss.TMWBServer

For Solaris and HP-UX
Modeler
a) Copy the extracted files into "[INSTALLDIR]/jre" folder.

Text Analytics Server - if installed
a) Move the extracted files into the folder "[INSTALLDIR]/ext/bin/spss.TMWBServer/jre" folder.

For AIX and Linux,zlinux
Modeler
a) Copy the extracted jre folder into [INSTALLDIR] folder.

Text Analytics Server - if installed
a) Move the extracted jre folder into "[INSTALLDIR]/ext/bin/spss.TMWBServer" folder.

6) For SPSS Modeler Client and the Admin Console, copy the following files from the backed up jre folder into the [INSTALLDIR]/jre folder.
a) 32-bit
jre\lib\accessibility.properties
jre\lib\ext\access-bridge.jar
jre\lib\security\cacerts
jre\lib\security\java.security

b) 64-bit
jre\lib\accessibility.properties
jre\lib\ext\access-bridge-64.jar
jre\lib\security\cacerts
jre\lib\security\java.security

If you have Text Analytics installed, copy the following file and directory from the backed up jre folder into the [INSTALLDIR]/jre folder (in both 32-bit and 64-bit):
jre\lib\ext\sqlite.jar
jre\lib\ext\x86

7) For Linux/Unix, ensure all files under the jre folder have correct permissions (e.g. chmod 755).
Modeler
a) "[INSTALLDIR]/jre"

Text Analytics Server - if installed
a) "[INSTALLDIR]/ext/bin/spss.TMWBServer/jre"

8) a) Restart Modeler Server, Modeler Server Admin Console and Text Analytics Server if installed
b) Start Modeler Client and Modeler Batch


How to Uninstall the Interim Fix
--------------------------
1) Stop all instances of Modeler Server, Modeler Server Admin Console and Text Analytics Server if installed

2) Close all instances of Modeler Client and Modeler Batch

3) Delete the following folders and files
Modeler
a) "[INSTALLDIR]/jre" folder

Text Analytics Server - if installed
a) "[INSTALLDIR]/ext/bin/spss.TMWBServer/jre"

4) Recover the deleted files in step 5 of installation instructions from the back up folder in step 4.

5) Restart Modeler Server, Modeler Server Admin Console and Text Analytics Server if installed

6) Start Modeler Client and Modeler Batch
