Installation Instructions

Interim Fix applied over IBM SPSS Modeler Server 16.0 fix pack 2, IBM SPSS Modeler Client 16.0 fix pack 2, IBM SPSS Modeler Batch 16.0 fix pack 2 and IBM SPSS Modeler Server Admin Console 16.0 fix pack 2.

Prerequisites:

One of the following products must be installed prior to applying this interim fix:

IBM SPSS Modeler Server 16.0 fix pack 2,
IBM SPSS Modeler Client 16.0 fix pack 2,
IBM SPSS Modeler Batch 16.0 fix pack 2,
IBM SPSS Modeler Server Admin Console 16.0 fix pack 2,

All files under "[INSTALLDIR]/jre"

Installation Instructions:
-----------------------------------
1) a) Stop all instances of Modeler Server and Modeler Server Admin Console
b) Close all instances of Modeler Client and Modeler Batch

2) Download Service Refresh 16 Fix Pack 5 for IBM JRE 6.0 from the requisite fix for this fix below

3) Uncompress the downloaded JRE fix into a temporary folder

4) Move folder "[INSTALLDIR]/jre" to a temporary back-up folder outside of the [INSTALLDIR] folder.

5) For Solaris and HP-UX
a) Move extracted files into "[INSTALLDIR]/jre" folder.

For Windows, AIX and Linux:
a) Move extracted jre folder into [INSTALLDIR] folder.

6) For SPSS Modeler Client, copy the following files from the backed up jre folder into the [INSTALLDIR]/jre folder.
a) 32-bit
jre\bin\JavaAccessBridge.dll
jre\bin\JAWTAccessBridge.dll
jre\lib\accessibility.properties
jre\lib\ext\access-bridge.jar
jre\lib\security\cacerts
jre\lib\security\java.security

b) 64-bit
jre\bin\JavaAccessBridge-64.dll
jre\bin\JAWTAccessBridge-64.dll
jre\lib\accessibility.properties
jre\lib\ext\access-bridge-64.jar
jre\lib\security\cacerts
jre\lib\security\java.security

If you have Text Analytics installed, copy the following file and directory from the backed up jre folder into the [INSTALLDIR]/jre folder (in both 32-bit and 64-bit):
jre\lib\ext\sqlite.jar
jre\lib\ext\x86

7) For Linux/Unix, make sure all files under "[INSTALLDIR]/jre" have correct permissions (e.g. chmod 755)

8) a) Restart Modeler Server and Modeler Server Admin Console
b) Start Modeler Client and Modeler Batch


How to Uninstall the Interim Fix
--------------------------
1) Stop all instances of Modeler Server and Modeler Server Admin Console

2) Close all instances of Modeler Client and Modeler Batch

3) Delete folder "[INSTALLDIR]/jre"

4) Recover the deleted files in step 5 of installation instructions from the back up folder in step 4.

5) Restart Modeler Server and Modeler Server Admin Console

6) Start Modeler Client and Modeler Batch
