This Interim Fix release needs to be applied over an existing installations of Rational Directory Server (RDS) and Rational Directory Administrator (RDA). It does not affect the data and/or the functionality of RDS or RDA.

Critical

This release is a security release of Rational Directory Server (Apache) 5.1.1 and above.

This iFix addresses multiple vulnerabilities in IBM Runtime Environment Java Technology Edition, Version 6 that is used by Rational Directory Server. Information about this security vulnerability can be found in Security Bulletin: Multiple vulnerabilities in IBM Java Runtime affects Rational Directory Server (CVE-2014-6457, CVE-2014-6593).
