Impact Assessment
Impact Description

This is a maintenance release. It contains fixes for client-reported and internally found defects.

Test Results

Definitions

Regression: An error in the Maintenance Delivery Vehicle (MDV) that produces incorrect or unexpected behavior causing a supported feature to stop functioning as designed.
This includes:

  • Coding errors that cause a regression
  • Documentation or packaging problems that cause a regression
  • Errors reported in a new function delivered in a MDV that cause a regression

Incomplete: An error in the MDV has not regressed, but does not work as designed.
This includes:

  • Fixed APARs which did not solve the original problem but did not break anything new
  • APARs reporting documentation errors, such as readme errors, that cause problems applying an MDV but do not lead to a regression

Notes:
  • Regression and incomplete APARs are considered fix-in-error or MDV-in-error
  • Definitions above apply only to valid APARs that result in product fixes (APARs returned as working-as-designed are not assessed for being fix-in-error)
  • Issues in major releases due to new functionality do not apply in this definition

There are no known regressions to report.

Change History

What's new

Rational Rhapsody Test Conductor support for variation points

Test Conductor can now be used to test the individual variants defined for a variation.

ATG: Improved requirement coverage reports

In this release, requirement coverage reports were improved by providing a mechanism for excluding non-functional requirements from the analysis.

Improved analysis of test case failures

A number of enhancements have been added to make it easier to determine the cause of test failures, including the display of argument/return value that caused test to fail in sequence diagrams, and the addition of witness sequence diagrams for failed cases to the model.

Rational Rhapsody Design Manager support for Stateflow elements in Simulink models

When importing Simulink models, Design Manager can now handle elements created with Stateflow.

Rational Rhapsody Design Manager new wizard for creating a domain from a profile

In Design Manager, the process of creating a domain from a profile has been made simpler by the introduction of a wizard that takes the user through the necessary steps.

Support for "elaborated" timing diagrams

Rational Rhapsody now allows you to draw "elaborated" timing diagrams in addition to "compact" timing diagrams.

AUTOSAR 4.1.3 support

Rational Rhapsody now supports AUTOSAR 4.1.3 modeling.

Support for Satisfy, Trace and Refine links in Rational DOORS Next Generation integration

The integration Rational DOORS Next Generation with Rational Design Manager now includes support for the Satisfy, Trace and Refine link types.

Use of relative paths in code-centric mode

For models that use code-centric mode, all paths to the code files are saved as relative paths. A property is provided for users who prefer to have the paths saved as absolute paths.

Support for OSLC-based integration of Rational Quality Manager with Rational Design Manager

You can now link Rational Quality Manager test cases with requirements and design elements in Rational Design Manager models.

SXF framework - improved MISRA compliance

The number of MISRA violations in the SXF framework has been reduced, and justifications have been provided for any remaining violations.

General integration improvements

Rational Rhapsody now integrates with Rational System Architect 11.4.3.1, Rational ClearCase 8.0.1.5, Rational Synergy 7.2.1.3.
