Prerequisites
You must have an installation of IBM Content Classification 8.8 on AIX and IBM Content Manager.

Installation Instructions
Important:
- If you have customized IBM Content Classification, back up your files before you install Fix Pack 2 as described below.
- If Fix Pack 1 is installed, you must uninstall and re-install IBM Content Classification 8.8, and then install Fix Pack 2.
Installing Fix Pack 2 on a new installation of IBM Content Classification 8.8
Download and run the installation program: classificationsetup88FP2_aix.bin
For download instructions, see Download package below.
To install Fix Pack 2 in silent mode:
- Edit the response file that is included with the installation program: ICM88_response_FP2_template.txt
- Run the following command:
Installing Fix Pack 2 on a customized installation of IBM Content Classification 8.8
Attention: If you installed Fix Pack 1, follow the instructions in the section below entitled "Installing Fix Pack 2 on IBM Content Classification 8.8 with Fix Pack 1."
- If you customized the following files, copy them to a backup directory:
- The Classification Center configuration file:
Classification_Home\ECMTools\config\ContentManager\classificationCenter.properties - The text extractors configuration file:
Classification_Home\Filters\docFilterManager.xml - If you created or customized hooks, back up the Classification_Home\AddOn directory to a temporary directory.
- Download and run the Fix Pack 2 installation program: classificationsetup88FP2_aix.bin

To install Fix Pack 2 in silent mode: - Edit the response file that is included with the installation program: ICM88_response_FP2_template.txt
- Run the following command:
-bash-4.2$ ./classificationsetup88FP2_aix.bin -i silent -f ICM88_response_FP2_template.txt - Manually implement any changes to the Classification Center or text extractor configuration files based on the changes in the configuration files that you backed up in step 1.
Attention: Do not overwrite the configuration files with your backed up files. - If you backed up hooks, overwrite the Classification_Home\AddOn directory with the AddOn directory that you backed up in step 2.
Installing Fix Pack 2 on IBM Content Classification 8.8 with Fix Pack 1
Tip: If you did not customize IBM Content Classification 8.8 with Fix Pack 1, skip to step 4.
- Use the Management Console to export the following classification components to a backup directory:
- Knowledge bases (KB files) and their associated learning data (SARC files)
For instructions, see Exporting a knowledge base. - Decision plans (DPN files)
For instructions, see Exporting a decision plan. - Field definitions
For instructions, see Exporting field definitions. - If you customized the following files, copy them to a backup directory:
- The Classification Center configuration file:
Classification_Home\ECMTools\config\ContentManager\classificationCenter.properties - The text extractors configuration file:
Classification_Home\Filters\docFilterManager.xml - If you created or customized hooks, back up the Classification_Home\AddOn directory to a temporary directory.
- Uninstall IBM Content Classification. For instructions, see Removing IBM Content Classification.
- Delete the Classification_Home installation directory.
- Temporarily remove the InstallAnywhere global registry file as described in this topic:

Download Package
The download package contains the fix pack installation program, response file, and readme file.
To download Fix Pack 2:
- Go to the Fix Central web site: http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/
- For Product Group, select Software > Enterprise Content Management.
- For Product, select Content Classification.
- For Installed Version, select 8.8.
- For Platform, select AIX, then click Continue.
- Accept the default option, Browse for fixes, and click Continue.
- Select the required fix pack, then click Continue.
- Sign in with your IBM ID and password.
- Specify your preferred download option, select the fix pack, then click Continue to download the fix pack.
