Notes:
- Fix Central is the IBM recommended site for retrieving fixes for most products. Fix Central enables customers to search, select, and download appropriate fixes for their situation. Tivoli Storage Productivity Center 5.2.x fixes are available only from Fix Central.
- Use the GNU tar program (1.14 or higher) rather than the native AIX tar program to extract files from Tivoli Storage Productivity Center installation images. The AIX tar program can truncate long file names, which may cause errors with the Tivoli Storage Productivity Center application.

This refresh pack is a full version of IBM Tivoli Storage Productivity Center and can be applied as an upgrade to any IBM Tivoli Storage Productivity Center 4.2.2.x, 5.1.x or 5.2.x system. The refresh pack media does not include a license key. You must have a license key to perform a new installation. If you are applying this fix pack as an upgrade, your existing license will be transferred.
Tip: The license is included with the Tivoli Storage Productivity Center V5.2 images (disk 1 part 1) on Passport Advantage or your physical media. Use the tabs to navigate to the operating system of your choice.
You can apply the license file directly to a copy of the Tivoli Storage Productivity Center installation media or wait for the installation program to prompt you for the location of the license file. To apply it before starting the installation:
Copy the following directory from the Tivoli Storage Productivity Center V5.2 disk1 DVD or electronic image into the Tivoli Storage Productivity Center disk1 source installation directory after you have extracted all of the fix pack part files:
<root_directory>/license/key/ (copy the entire key directory)
Use the modified source installation directory to perform the installation.
Note: The Jazz for Service Management 1.1.0.3 package for use with Tivoli Storage Productivity Center is available from Passport Advantage. See prerequisite link below for required part numbers.
