Download InfoSphere Optim Workload Replay Version 2.1.0.x

InfoSphere Optim Workload Replay is a web based tool for capturing and replaying database workloads. InfoSphere Optim Workload Replay helps organizations record and use realistic database workloads to test major database tasks such as database upgrades, increased data volume, and changes to system configuration in a test environment that simulates the production environment.

IMPORTANT: Before you start, verify that you have an IBM ID, and that the Passport Advantage primary contact at your company granted your IBM ID permission to access and download InfoSphere Optim Workload Replay. If you do not have an IBM ID, you can create one at the Passport Advantage site.

1. Locate the InfoSphere Optim Workload Replay eAssembly for the platform or platforms that you need to use. The eAssembly part numbers are provided in this document.
2. Download the parts that you need from Passport Advantage at: http://www.ibm.com/software/passportadvantage.
   If you are not familiar with Passport Advantage, view a short tutorial on Downloading Products from Passport Advantage from the IBM Electronic Support Channel on YouTube. You can also download the video directly from IBM Electronic Support.
3. Unpack each of the parts onto your system.
4. Follow the instructions in the IBM InfoSphere Optim Workload Replay Quick Start Guide to install the product.

Downloading from Fix Central

An IBM ID is also required to download required fixpacks from IBM Fix Central.

To find and download fix packs for a specific product:

1. Go to IBM Fix Central at: http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/
2. Find available fix packs by searching or browsing and selecting the appropriate product group, product, installed version, and platform.
3. Select to browse for all fixes for your specific product, release, and platform.
4. Select and download a fix pack for your product.

IBM InfoSphere Optim Workload Replay is installed as a software patch on an InfoSphere Guardium appliance. You install the InfoSphere Guardium appliance on a dedicated computer or virtual machine. The installation program installs a new Red Hat Linux Version 5.8, 64-bit operating system on the computer or virtual image, and then installs the Guardium appliance. • 2 GB of disk space to store the full set of recommended downloadable parts
