Abstract

This integration solution enables Single Sign-On (SSO) from IBM Security Access Manager to Oracle Siebel using the Siebel LDAP or custom IBM Security Access Manager adapters.

This integration provides Single Sign-on (SSO) capability for Siebel eBusiness Applications using IBM Security Access Manager. The integration is achieved using one of the following scenarios:

  • Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) Security Adapter provided by Siebel to access the IBM Tivoli Directory Server which IBM Security Access Manager is configured against;
  • IBM Security Access Manager Security Adapter which externalizes User and Responsibility management to IBM Security Access Manager
  • IBM Security Access Manager Lightweight (Lite) Security Adapter which asserts the user identity of an existing Siebel account inserted by IBM Security Access Manager

Chapter 1 of the integration guide provides a scenario overview for each of the options to assist in the selection of the appropriate adapter for your environment.

Prerequisites

One of the following versions:

  • Oracle Siebel 8.2.2
  • Oracle Siebel 8.1.1

and

one of the following versions:
  • IBM Security Access Manager for Web Version 8.0
  • IBM Security Access Manager for Web Version 7.0
  • IBM Security Access Manager WebSEAL Version 7.0
  • IBM Tivoli Access Manager for e-business WebSEAL Version 6.1.1
