Test Results

Definitions

Regression: An error in the Maintenance Delivery Vehicle (MDV) that produces incorrect or unexpected behavior causing a supported feature to stop functioning as designed.
This includes:

  • Coding errors that cause a regression
  • Documentation or packaging problems that cause a regression
  • Errors reported in a new function delivered in a MDV that cause a regression

Incomplete: An error in the MDV has not regressed, but does not work as designed.
This includes:

  • Fixed APARs which did not solve the original problem but did not break anything new
  • APARs reporting documentation errors, such as readme errors, that cause problems applying an MDV but do not lead to a regression

Notes:
  • Regression and incomplete APARs are considered fix-in-error or MDV-in-error
  • Definitions above apply only to valid APARs that result in product fixes (APARs returned as working-as-designed are not assessed for being fix-in-error)
  • Issues in major releases due to new functionality do not apply in this definition

There are no known issues to report.

Problem/Workaround
R#45226Update the documentation in translated help files.

The below topics are not updated in the translated help files:
  1. Upgrade guidelines (Section 'Attributes of web type CCM_NUMBER').
  2. Creating attributes( Step 4 Section C).

Review the English documentation for the correct documentation.
R#45379Language pack may not be installed on Rational Change by default when Rational Change and the Help server are installed together on Windows on Jetty server.

When Rational Change starts up the first time after the software has been installed, a script is run to install the language pack. The Rational Change service on Windows may not start in a timely fashion when Rational Change and Help are deployed together on Jetty. The script waits for a few minutes for Rational Change to start up and fails if the service takes more time to start up.

Possible workarounds include:
  • Install the language pack manually after the Rational Change service is up.
  • Install Rational Change and Help separately (on different web servers)

  • Packaging and ordering details
  • International compatibility information

Rational Change 5.3.1 which comes bundled with Japanese and Chinese language packs includes the following enhancements:

Dynamic required attribute
The dynamic required attributes feature allows users to mark some of the attributes to be required dynamically when a particular value is selected for another attribute.

Treating numeric fields as integers
Treating numeric fields as integers allows CCM_NUMBER attribute types to be set as integers. They can hold only integer values and users can query on them using mathematical operators. This can be used for queries which need to filter and sort based on criteria.

Database specific Home Pages
Database specific Home Pages allows the users to manage their home page content that is relevant to the database that they log in to.

Other Enhancements
  • Collapsible and expandable home page reports
  • Cryptographic functionality is enhanced to meet “NIST SP800-131a” standards.
  • Documentation updates for installation in a Windows secure environment
  • Documentation updates on security rules for lifecycle customization
  • Rational Change now has Jetty 8.1.3 embedded.
  • Upgraded dojo version to 1.8.4 and Birt version to 4.1.2
  • Supports browser versions IE 10 and FF 17
  • Redesigned user interface URLs and action links - user tokens are no longer displayed.
