Abstract

This document describes how to download and install the IBM® SmartCloud Cost Management (SCCM) Fix Pack 1 for SCCM Version 2.1 and any known issues resolved.

Download Description

This fix pack includes the following IFIX for IBM SmartCloud Cost Management 2.1:

IFIX

The following restrictions from IBM SmartCloud Cost Management 2.1 have been resolved:
  • Inability to duplicate a rate table
  • Inability to delete an entire rate table
  • Inability to order rate groups
  • Inability to order rate codes
  • Inability to move rate codes between rate groups

Note: See the 'Defining_rates.pdf' for information about the updated Rate UI panels.

This fix pack also resolves the following issues:
  • Database error thrown when the Rate Table Maintenance UI is launched with DB2 9.5.
  • Upgrade fails from 7.3 to 2.1 because ratetable column in CIMSDimClient is set to 8.
  • DB2Utility.sh does not work since code looks for DB2 driver in <SCCM_install_dir>/lib.
  • db2utility code has been updated with additional stored procedures.
  • Various configuration option entries are not displayed in the Customs Options panel.
  • Invoice Contact default incorrect for Clients.
  • HMC is unable to handle no results returned for a managed system.
  • UpdateConversionFromRecord stage writes duplicate records to the conversion table.
  • conversionFromIdentifers stage not working as expected when From Identifier contains dots.
  • Rounding issue for Percentage field in Rate Table Maintenance UI.
  • Missing validation to prevent users from adding a rate code to different rate groups.
  • Detail by Multiple Identifiers Cognos report does not work with the latest DataDirect driver.
  • Various Web Reporting and Rates UI Accessibility issues.
  • Editing and saving a rate group description will prevent users from editing other rate code fields, for example, value/threshold/percent etc.

Notes:

  1. If upgrading from a release prior to 2.1 and you have not previously applied the SCCM2100-IFIX-0001, you must apply this Fix Pack prior to running any database upgrade.
  2. Before applying this Fix Pack or restarting the SCCM Application Server, you must log out of the Administration Console. Failure to do this may result in UI errors due to the browser cache not being refreshed correctly. If you do experience these UI errors, logging out and logging back into the Administration Console will resolve the issue.
  3. After applying this Fix Pack, we recommend that all administration users delete their browser cache and cookies.
  4. Ordering of indexes is now global across all rate tables. You may notice some changes in ordering in certain situations after the database upgrade. Use the Rate Group Maintenance panel to adjust as required.
  5. It is advisable to update the SCCM reports using the latest Cognos package if DataDirect drivers are used to connect Tivoli Common Reporting to the database. If a database client is used to connect to the database, then there is no need to update the reports.

Prerequisites

You must be running SmartCloud Cost Management Version 2.1.0.0. It is also recommended that a database backup is performed before installing this fix pack.
