December 2012: Interim Fix 5020401_1
Issue Description: Customers using the Sterling B2B Integrator v5.2.4.1 AS2 feature or AS2 Edition, which includes mutli-org AS2 organization setups, are not able to create AS2 partners using the radio button “Use Existing Identity” after applying the 5.2.4.1 fix pack.
IBM has released a generally available interim fix (iFix) to resolve the issue described below on IBM Fix Central for download. We recommend that all Sterling B2B Integrator v5.2.4.1 AS2 customers using multi-org setup download this iFix and apply it to your environments immediately.
Example Symptom:
After applying the 5.2.4.1 fix pack, create an AS2 Organization using the AS2 Wizard and perform the following steps:
- Select Use Existing Identity.
- Click Next. The Identity Name and AS2 Identifier is automatically populated.
- Click Next. A “DuplicateAS2Identifier” error is displayed.
Next Steps:
- If you downloaded and installed the 5.2.4.1 fix pack and are NOT on a customer specific iFix, you must apply this iFix to resolve these issues. Please follow the instructions below:
-
a. Ensure that you are already running the si_52_build_5020401.jar in your environment. This iFix only contains the fixes for the issue listed above. It does not contain fixes from any previous fix packs. You are required to already have v5.2.4.1 installed prior to applying this iFix.
b. Download the new iFix containing the resolution for this issue introduced with v5.2.4.1 from Fix Central: si_52_build_5020401_hotfix_1.jar
For instructions on using Fix Central, see the following:
IBM Fix Central Help
c. Install the iFix on each node in your test environment and run your AS2 regression tests against it. Remember that applying this iFix will require a node outage.
For instructions on installing a iFix, see the "Install a Hot-Fix" section of the IBM Sterling B2B Integrator 5.2 Installation and Upgrade documentation:
Sterling B2B Integrator 5.2 Installation and Upgrade Documentation
- If you downloaded and installed v5.2.4.1 and are running on a customer specific iFix, contact your local IBM Customer Support immediately to receive an updated iFix for your specific implementation. DO NOT install the generally available iFix from Fix Central as it may remove any individual fixes that have been provided for your implementation.
