Abstract
Downloads and DVDs for IBM® InfoSphere® Optim™ 9.1: Optim Test Data Management, InfoSphere Optim Data Growth, or InfoSphere Optim Application Retirement.
Download Description
The following scenarios are listed by the operating systems on which you install the Repository or Server; in every scenario, you must install the Client on a Windows computer.
You can install on a single computer, which is useful if you are training or creating a demo, or install on multiple computers to create a production environment. Additionally, for Test Data Management, you can install the Designer and Manager tools.
The scenarios are:
- Optim Test Data Management in a production system (multiple computers):
- Scenario 1: On Windows systems (with Designer and Manager)
- Scenario 2: On Red Hat Linux, AIX, Solaris, HP-IA, or SuSE Linux systems (with Designer and Manager)
- Scenario 3: On Windows systems (without Designer and Manager)
- Scenario 4: On HP-UX systems (without Designer and Manager)
- Scenario 5: On Red Hat Linux, AIX, Solaris, HP-IA, or SuSE Linux systems (without Designer and Manager)
- Optim Test Data Management on a single computer for training or creating demos:
- Scenario 6: On Windows systems (with Designer and Manager) - single computer
- Scenario 7: On Windows systems (without Designer and Manager) - single computer
- Optim Data Growth or Application Retirement in a production system (multiple computers):
- Scenario 8: On Windows systems
- Scenario 9: On HP-UX systems
- Scenario 10: On Red Hat Linux, AIX, Solaris, HP-IA, or SuSE Linux systems
- Optim Data Growth or Application Retirement on a single computer for training or creating demos:
- Scenario 11: On Windows systems - single computer
Tips for downloading this product:
- You must create a temporary directory for each download.
- If the product you are installing requires the Option Repository, you must install the Repository before installing any other components.
- The installation program for some Optim components is spread across multiple download images. For example, the Client is contained on two download images, and the Repository on Windows is contained on three download images. For these components, after you load and run the first download, the installation program prompts you to insert the next download, and continues prompting for downloads until the installation is complete.
Tips for installing this product from DVDs:
- DVDs are identified by their DVD Part Numbers. The Part Number is printed above the bar code on the right side of the DVD label.
- If the product you are installing requires the Option Repository, you must install the Repository before installing any other components.
- The installation program for some Optim components is spread across multiple DVDs. For example, the Client is contained on two DVDs, and the Repository for Windows is contained on three DVDs. For these components, after you load and run the first DVD, the installation program prompts you to insert the next DVD, and continues prompting for DVDs until the installation is complete.
