From this page you can install and upgrade to the latest release of IBM Explorer for z/OS (z/OS Explorer), IBM CICS Explorer, and CICS Tools plug-ins for CICS Explorer.
Apple OS X Yosemite support now available
From December 12, 2014, support is provided for Apple OS X Yosemite, version 10.10, or later, by IBM Explorer for z/OS (z/OS Explorer) V22.214.171.124, or later, and CICS Explorer V126.96.36.199, or later.
IMPORTANT: IBM Policy on automatic software updates
|CICS Explorer V5.2 launches with a software repository, that can be used to install additional tooling into CICS Explorer by adding it as an additional repository in Installation Manager, or as an update site in Eclipse. You can also use this repository with any compatible Installation Manager-based product to add z/OS Explorer, CICS Explorer, and tooling into that environment.
Note that this repository differs from that used for CICS Explorer V5.1.1. IBM's current policy for tooling provided on this download site is to perform automatic updates to the latest version of compatible tooling, where requested. This differs from the previous IBM policy, which provided minimal service updates.
IBM intends to update z/OS Explorer and CICS Explorer at set intervals throughout the year. Updates will typically roll up service fixes and may address usability and functional issues that have been raised.

Detailed instructions on how to install CICS Explorer in different scenarios are also available, in the CICS product documentation under Installing the CICS Explorer.
When using Red Hat Enterprise Linux, 32-bit libraries must be installed for Installation Manager launchpad to run. However, starting with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) V6.0 the default is for RHEL not to include 32-bit support. Refer to Installation Manager support for x86 64-bit Red Hat Enterprise Linux for information on how to install 32-bit runtime support libraries on RHEL V6.0.
Scenario 1 - New to IM, z/OS Explorer, and CICS Explorer V5.2
You do not have IM installed and want to use z/OS Explorer and CICS Explorer V5.2 for the first time
Scenario 2 - Install CICS Explorer
You already have IM installed and want to install CICS Explorer
Scenario 3 - Upgrade CICS Explorer to the latest release
You already have IM installed and want to upgrade CICS Explorer1
2If you are an existing CICS Explorer user and are upgrading to Eclipse 4.2.2, then see Taking a backup of the CICS Explorer for CICS TS workspace in the CICS TS information center before upgrading.
These scenarios use the Eclipse P2 software update method and do not require IBM Installation Manager.
Scenario 4 - New CICS Explorer (Fresh Install)
You want to use CICS Explorer for the first time
Scenario 5 - Add CICS Explorer to your existing Eclipse IDE environment
You want to add CICS Explorer V5.2 to your Eclipse IDE
Scenario 6 - Extend CICS Explorer with IBM, CICS, and third-party plug-ins
You want to install or upgrade plug-ins for CICS Explorer
Scenario 7 - Upgrade CICS Explorer to the latest release
You want to upgrade CICS Explorer
This scenario cannot be used to upgrade from a CICS Explorer release earlier than V5.1.1. This scenario is only for upgrading from CICS Explorer V5.1.1 to any subsequent V5.1.1.x release, or later. This is due to the use of a common Eclipse release for CICS Explorer V5.1.1.x, or later.

++ Not yet compatible with CICS Explorer V5.1.1, or later, and Eclipse 4.2.2. Available for previous releases of CICS Explorer.
*IMPORTANT: Be aware of extracting CICS Explorer into a location with an existing long path name. This can lead to errors during extraction where the path length might exceed that permitted by the target operating system. If in doubt, extract CICS Explorer to a root directory or similar, such as C:\ or C:\CICS_Explorer. Furthermore, unzipping CICS Explorer on Microsoft Windows platforms might result in a request for a password. If this occurs, the unzip process might not complete successfully. For more details, see CICS Explorer using Windows unzip prompts for password trying to unzip disk image.
To get the full benefit from CICS Explorer, CICS Transaction Server for z/OS version 4 or later is required.
System requirements details are available on the CICS Explorer systems requirements page.
