Known side effects
When you generate a document, performance might degrade. If the document specification contains more tables than paragraphs or lists, to improve performance, use the native filter and sort rather than the Rational Publishing Engine filter and sort, and avoid multiple passes over the same data.
- The document generation process may not be effective if the document specification contains more tables than paragraphs or lists.
- It is preferred to replace scripted sorts and filters wherever possible by native sorts or filters.
- Ensure that multiple passes over data are avoided.
