1.0 General description
-----------------------

This interim fix resolves the APARs and defects listed in the
"Problems Fixed" section below.

2.0 Problems fixed
------------------

The following problems are addressed by this fix.

2.1 APARs
---------------
APAR: IV25680
Abstract: DUPLICATE CEC NAMES APPEAR IN THE PROMPT PAGE OF REPORTS
Additional information: Duplicate CEC names might display in the
reporting promp after installing the interim fix for
APAR IV20176 and the warehouse has not been pruned of
data collected prior to the fix.

APAR: IV26055
Abstract: WHEN THE FIX FOR APAR: IV26053 WAS RELEASED, IT DID NOT
INCLUDE SOME OF THE OLD REPORTS.
Additional information: The original reports for the agent were not
included in interim fix 6.2.2.2-TIV-ITM_SYSP_RPT-IF0002.
Now, a new folder named 'Deprecated' contains certain
CEC base agent reports which used the identifier
'Machine ID' to uniquely identify CECs. These deprecated
reports have been provided only for continuity until
the upgraded agent gathers adequate data. The new reports
use 'Type_Model_SerialNumber' to uniquely identify CECs.
When there is enough data in the warehouse after upgrading
the agent, use the regular reports not in the
'Deprecated' folder. The deprecated reports will be
removed in future releases. Ensure that any
customizations to the CEC Base agent reports are done only
to the new reports and not to the deprecated ones.

2.2 Defects
-----------
Defect: 169071
Abstract: Performance enhancement - relationship to TIME_DIMENSION
Additional information: This is a performance enchancement by
using TIME_DIMENSION instead of "Time Dimension."

2.3 Enhancements
------------------
None.

2.4 Superseded fixes
---------------------
6.2.2.2-TIV-ITM_SYSP_RPT-IF0001
6.2.2.2-TIV-ITM_SYSP_RPT-IF0002

2.5 APARs and defects included from superseded fixes
---------------------------------------------------------------

6.2.2.2-TIV-ITM_SYSP_RPT-IF0002
-------------------------------
APAR: IV16594
Abstract: CPU POOLS UTILIZATION REPORT FAILS FOR HOURLY
SUMMARIZATION
Additional information: The CPU Pools Utilization Details
Report fails to run for the "Hourly" summarization type,
because the System p agent data model is missing some
join statements. Also, "CPU Pools Hourly" is misspelled
in the Consolidation View of the data model, causing the
report to fail.

APAR: IV20176
Abstract: NO UNIQUE MACHINE IDENTIFIER FOR REMOTE CECS CAUSES
REPORTS TO FAIL
Additional information: When running Tivoli Common Reporting for the
following three reports:
---
LPAR Physical CPU Utilization Details
LPAR Physical Memory Utilization Details
LPAR Workload Trend and Forecast
---
the prompt page asks the user to choose a CEC and will
display a list of LPARs for the users to select. If the
agent is monitoring the CEC from a remote LPAR, the list
will show LPARs from multiple CECs instead of just the
LPARs on the chosen CEC. This occurs because the
machine ID attribute contains the ID of the CEC on which
the agent LPAR is running. However, the CEC ID of the
remote CEC cannot be determined due to a limitation in
the AIX Performance Tools. A different unique
identifier is needed.
Note: This APAR also requires interim fix
6.2.2.2-TIV-ITM_CEC_BASE-IF0003 or above for the agent.

APAR: IV21250
Abstract: REPORTS FAIL FOR NON-ITMUSER SCHEMA NAME
Additional information: The schema name of ITMUSER is hardcoded for
the IBM Tivoli Monitoring tables in the data model for
the System p agents. This causes reports to fail when
using a different schema name while configuring the
Warehouse Proxy Agent and the Summarization and Pruning
Agent.

APAR: IV22072
Abstract: VALUES FOR VACATION PERIODS ARE INCORRECT.
Additional information: The prompt page of the following reports in
the System P reports package have an incorrect
interpretation of values for vacation periods. The values
listed should be All days (-1), Work days (0) and Vacation
days (1).
List of affected reports:
---
Performance Trends and Resource Forecasts > CPU Pools Utilization Details
Performance Trends and Resource Forecasts > Frame workload trend and forecast
Performance Trends and Resource Forecasts > LPAR Physical CPU Utilization Details
Performance Trends and Resource Forecasts > LPAR Physical Memory Utilization Details
Performance Trends and Resource Forecasts > LPAR Workload Trend and Forecast
Performance Trends and Resource Forecasts > VIOS Disk Capacity Details
Performance Trends and Resource Forecasts > VIOS Shared Ethernet Adapter Utilization
What-If Analysis for Workload Placement > Number of LPARs for CEC
What-If Analysis for Workload Placement > Resources Needed For Additional LPARs on CEC
Workload Right-Sizing and Balancing > Top or Bottom CECs by Physical CPU Utilization
Workload Right-Sizing and Balancing > Top or Bottom CECs by Physical Memory Utilization
Workload Right-Sizing and Balancing > Top or Bottom LPARs by Physical CPU Utilization
Workload Right-Sizing and Balancing > Top or Bottom LPARs by Physical Memory Utilization
Workload Right-Sizing and Balancing > Top or Bottom VIOSs by Disk Capacity

APAR: IV22818
Abstract: UDA ERROR IN WHAT-IF ANALYSIS REPORTS
Additional information: Running What-If Analysis for Workload
Placement reports might cause the following error:
---
UDA-SQL-0114 The cursor supplied to the operation
"sqlOpenResult" is inactive. UDA-SOR-0005 Unable to
write the file.

APAR: IV26053
Abstract: SYSTEM P AGENT REPORTS LIST LPARS FOR THE WRONG CEC IF
AGENT IS ON A REMOTE LPAR.
Additional information: This fix is required to take advantage of
the agent fix in APAR IV20176. See APAR IV20176 above.

6.2.2.2-TIV-ITM_SYSP_RPT-IF0001
-------------------------------

APAR: IV08029
Abstract: SPLIT QUERIES IN THE DATA MODELS CAUSES PERFORMANCE
PROBLEMS
Additional information: The Tivoli Common Reporting data model
for the System p agents reports contains split queries
that might cause performance problems with very large
amounts of data. In the data models, reports utilize
simple queries like 'select x, y from A', instead of
'select * from A'. As a result, Cognos processes queries
through use of joins at the Cognos level, instead of
being performed at the database level. This results in
poor performance. The performance impact is greater when
dealing with large datasets.

APAR: IV09285
Abstract: PROCESSES SUMMARY HOURLY REPORTS INCORRECTLY USES DAILY
DATA
Additional information: The Tivoli Common Reporting data model
for the System p agents reports incorrectly uses daily
data to generate "Processes Summary Hourly" reports.
