Prerequisites

Installation Instructions

IBM Rational Service Tester for SOA Quality, Version 8.2.1 must already be installed. For information about installing version 8.2.1, see the Rational Service Tester for SOA Quality Version 8.2.1 DCF download document.

Automatic update
Install the Rational Service Tester for SOA Quality 8.2.1.5 update using the Update wizard in IBM Installation Manager.

  1. Start IBM Installation Manager.
  2. Click Update.

Manual update
You can also download the update and install it locally.

  1. Download the Rational Service Tester for SOA Quality 8.2.1.5 update .zip files. See the following Download package table for the URL.
  2. Extract the files to a temporary directory with a directory structure that resembles this example:
    rst_update\disk1

    The base directory must be named disk1

  3. Start IBM Installation Manager.
  4. Click File > Preferences.
  5. Click Add Repository.
  6. Specify the directory where disk1 is located, according to the following example:

    ...\rst_update\disk1\diskTag.inf

  7. Click OK.
  8. Click Apply.
  9. Click OK to close the Preferences window.
  10. From the main Installation Manager window, click Update.
