IBM Rational Test Workbench 8.0 has been made generally available on the IBM Passport Advantage Web site.

To install Rational Test Workbench from electronic disks that you download from IBM Passport Advantage, open a command line, and change to the directory where you extracted the disk images; and then at the command prompt, complete one of these steps:
- On Windows, enter RTW_SETUP\launchpad.exe
- On Linux, enter RTW_SETUP/launchpad.sh
1. The launchpad program starts
Select a language in which to run the launchpad.
2. When you are ready to begin the installation, click Install Rational Test Workbench. IBM Installation manager is installed (or updated if an earlier version is already installed).
3. Restart Installation Manager when you are requested to do so, and then click Install Packages. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
4. License your workstation by installing either the Product Activation Kit or connecting to a license server. See the installation guide for instructions. The Installing Rational Test Workbench user guide is attached here.

- IBM Rational Performance Tester, a scripting-free environment for automating load and scalability testing of web, ERP, and server-based software applications
