Problem: When ITNM discovers a network device with multiple IP addresses and to which it does not have SNMP access., there is no way to determine that all the IP addresses are assosiated with a single device. Therefore multiple entities are created in the topology model, one for each IP address. If ITNM should then later gain SNMP access to that device it
becomes possible to identify and delete those duplicate entities.

cores. There is no data loss because this is basically a zombie process, but the process should be exiting nicely.

Title: DISCOVERY CRASHED IN PHASE 4 DUE TO THE HUGE CISCOBGPTELNET RETURNS.
Problem:Basic issue is when we return device A we include all the local neighbour records separately and similarly for the remote neighbours. This was by design to simplify processing. e.g. if we have device A with four interfaces, each with 2 neighbours we'd return 13 records.

Prerequisites

IBM Tivoli Network Manager V3.9 must be installed before applying this
Fix Pack. Fix Pack 2 can be install over original 3.9 GA (3.9.0.32) or 3.9 FP1 (3.9.0.49).

Ensure that there is approximately 1 GB of free space on the drive
on which the product was installed

Note: When using the Windows command line, preface and suffix environment
variables with the percentage sign %, and replace each forward slash (/)
with a backslash (\) in directory paths.
For example, on Windows systems, $NCHOME is %NCHOME%.

Installation Instructions

Full details on how to install this fixpack can be found in the 3.9.0_INSTALL_FP0002 file which is downloadable from the link below...

NOTE:
If upgrading an existing IBM Tivoli Network Manager (ITNM) 3.9 installation that is using Tivoli Integrated Portal (TIP) version 2.1 to use TIP version 2.2 (See Section #7 in the 3.9.0_INSTALL_FP0002 file), you will need the TIP FIT package. The TIP FIT package contains the TIP signature file for TIP 2.2.0.1. Additional fix packs for TIP 2.2 can be applied after TIP 2.2.0.1, such as TIP 2.2.0.7. Each fix pack of TIP 2.2 (such as TIP 2.2.0.7) will have a separate TIP signature file associated with it.

To obtain the TIP signature files, download them from Fix Central -->
http://www-933.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/swg/selectFixes?parent=ibm~Tivoli&product=ibm/Tivoli/Tivoli+Integrated+Portal&release=All&platform=All&function=all

NOTE: From the TIP support team, the FIT packaging is bit different from TIP 2.2.0.1 to TIP 2.2.0.7. In TIP 2.2.0.7, FIT package you will not see any "input" folder and the signature file will be part of FIT.jar. Please use the same user id that you used to install the product/fix pack to extract these and then run the fix pack installer.
