Download Description
IBM has released a set of rollup patches for Information Server Version 8.7 which encapsulate a number of performance, usability and data related fixes. The APAR numbers associated with these fixes are provided in a section of this download document below. These rollup patches can be installed individually, or together, using the Information Server Update Installer. There is no particular order of installation required.
The Rollup 1 Patches contain fixes for the following components:
- InfoSphere Business Glossary and Business Glossary Anywhere
- Common Metadata Services
- XML Transformation Connector (for DataStage)
- InfoSphere DataStage Operations Console
- InfoSphere Metadata Asset Manager
- Metadata Integration Bridges
The Rollup 1 patches are listed here, grouped by installation tier for convenience. Patches which are to be installed into multiple tiers should be done so simultaneously, to ensure correct operation of the product.

These tables list physical patch file names, and can be used as a checklist after you perform the download from Fix Central to make sure you have all the files you need. The download links to Fix Central are provided below.
* Important Note: There are two versions of the Metadata Integration Bridges patch. The Unicode version (MIBU) must only be installed into a Unicode client installation. The English version (MIBE) into an English client installation. To determine your client installation type, examine the Version.xml file, and locate one of the following actionId attributes:

Installation Instructions
The Information Server Update Installer is used to install the Rollup 1 patches, with the exception of Business Glossary Anywhere, which has its own installer utility. Multiple patches can be installed simultaneously using the Update Installer. Some patches have additional post-installation steps. Review the README file contained within each patch archive to confirm these steps prior to performing any software installation.
