Abstract
This document provides the eImage part numbers and installation instructions for IBM® CICS® Transaction Gateway for Multiplatforms V9.0, on all supported platforms.

Installation Instructions

To install CICS TG for Multiplatforms V9.0
- Ensure that sufficient free storage is available (see Table 1 for storage requirements).
- Create a temporary directory on your system.
- Download part number nnnnnnn to the temporary directory where nnnnnnn is the part number listed in Table 1.
- For Windows, unzip the download. For all other platforms, unpack the file with the following command:
gzip -cd nnnnnnn.tar.gz | tar -xvf - - Open the readme file and follow the installation instructions.

To install the separate JRE
To run CICS TG Java Client applications on remote mode topologies you need a separate JRE. The part number of the CICS Transaction Gateway for Multiplatforms Java Runtime Environment is listed in Table 1 and is the same for all platforms.
- Ensure that sufficient free storage is available (see Table 1 for storage requirements).
- Create a temporary directory on your system.
- Download the JRE package to the temporary directory (see Table 1 for the part number).
- Unzip the download.
- Open the readme file and follow the installation instructions.

To view the Quick Start Guide
The Quick Start Guide provides a basic introduction to your product and is provided in English, French and Japanese:
You will need Adobe Acrobat to view the Quick Start Guide. For other languages, download the Quick Start Guide listed in Table 2.

The product documentation is provided in an Information Center that applies to CICS Transaction Gateway for Multiplatforms and to CICS Transaction Gateway Desktop Edition.
The Information Center is also available on the internet at: http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/cicstgmp/v9r0/index.jsp
The Information Center is available for installation on Windows, AIX and Linux where it can be run as an information server or as a local process. The Information Center is also available as a plug-in that can be used with an existing Eclipse installation.
To install the Information Center:
- Ensure that sufficient free storage is available (see Table 2 for storage requirements).
- Create a temporary directory on your system.
- Download the Information Center eImage to the temporary directory. The part number is listed in Table 2.
- Unzip or unpack the file.
- Open the readme file and follow the installation instructions.
