It is not possible to install IBM Real-Time Asset Locator and use APIs if security is enabled in IBM Maximo Asset Management. Interim fix IC79542 resolves this problem.
If security is enabled in Maximo Asset Management, IBM Real-Time Asset Locator does not send the Maximo Asset Management administrative user ID and password to Maximo Asset Management for authentication. This causes the installation of IBM Real-Time Asset Locator to fail. If you work around the installation failure, the IBM Real-Time Asset Locator APIs fail with authentication errors.
