In proxy, the max HTTP error code that it could handle is hard-coded and must be less than 505. This could cause error conditions if proxy filters set error codes greater than 505.

ERROR DESCRIPTION:
In proxy, the max HTTP error code that it could handle is hard-coded and must be less than 505. This could cause error conditions if proxy filters set error codes greater than 505.
LOCAL FIX:
n/a
PROBLEM SUMMARY
USERS AFFECTED:
All users of IBM WebSphere Application Server V7.0 and V8.0.
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
Proxy could not serve a custom error page locally if the error code is greater than 505.
RECOMMENDATION:
None
Internally the max error code that proxy could handle is 505 and this blocks proxy from handling any error code greater than 505.
PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
The proxy internal max error code is now set to 599. This will allow you to use any number between 505 and 599 as your custom error code.
