Prerequisites
Installation Instructions
After downloading the installation pack to your computer, double-click on the Setup Launcher and follow the simple on-line instructions.
Download package
Steps to obtain download package.
- Go to IBM Fix Central
- Select these filters:
- Product Group: Rational
- Product: IBM Rational AppScan Standard Edition
- Installed Version: 8.0.0.0 or 8.0.0.1 or 8.0.0.2
- Platform: Windows
- Click Continue
- On the Identify Fixes page, select All Fixes (if not selected by default), and click Continue
- Select the first result on the page: RASS-Windows-8.0.0.3-Fixpack3
- At the bottom of the page select a download method:
- Download using Download Director
or - Download using your browser (HTTP)
- Download using Download Director
- Click Continue
The download is displayed:
8.0.0.3-AppScan_Setup.exe (270 MB)
Note: This file is an update only. You must have Rational AppScan Standard 8.0 installed before you can install the update.
- Select the checkbox and click Download Now
How critical is this fix?
This fix pack includes a fix for a security vulnerability and is therefore recommended.
Problems solved
Known side effects
Problem with saved scans of web services:
If the user loads a scan that includes issues discovered by GSC, and tries to retest them, the issue disappears as if it's not vulnerable. The problem occurs regardless of whether the loaded scan was created in an earlier version of AppScan or in the current version. The workaround is to record the GSC information again, before retesting. A fix for this will be released shortly.
