This document describes how to download IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Extended Edition Version 6.3.6.100 installation images for AIX®, Linux®, and UNIX® servers, using the Passport Advantage Online website.

IBM Tivoli Storage Manager enables you to protect your organization’s data from failures and other errors by storing backup and archive data in a hierarchy of online and offline storage. IBM Tivoli Storage Manager’s core functions include backup and recovery management, and archive management. Tivoli Storage Manager Extended Edition offers that and additional support through: disaster preparation planning and recovery, NDMP backup for network attached storage, and small and large tape libraries.

Downloading and assembling the product

  1. Download the part that you need. The parts are described by platform in the tabbed sections of this document.
  2. Unpack each downloaded part into a single temporary directory on your system.
  3. Follow the instructions in the IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Extended Edition Quick Start Guide to install the product.
