Abstract

Download Fix Pack 2 for InfoSphere Information Server Version 8.1. The Fix Pack is now available for the Windows, AIX, Solaris, Redhat and Suse (x86 and x86_64) platforms.

Download Description

Fix Pack 2 for Information Server Version 8.1 may be downloaded from Fix Central using the link in the Download package section of this document. Within Fix Central, choose the package for the platform on which your services and engine tiers are installed. Fix Central will automatically determine the proper requisite packages you need, including those packages that are necessary for the client tier.

Updated February 2, 2011 Fix Pack 2 for IBM Information Server Version 8.1 is now available on the HP-UX Itanium, HP-UX 11x PA- RISC and Linux for System Z platforms.

Important: Fix Pack 2 does not contain any changes to Balanced Optimization, Business Glossary Anywhere or the DataDirect ODBC drivers. However, you must use the Fix Pack 1 versions of these components with Information Server 8.1 Fix Pack 2. Fix Central will automatically provide the Fix Pack 1 versions as requisite fixes.

Use this checklist to validate that your download from Fix Central is complete and you have all the necessary files to perform the installation. This download document will be updated as additional platforms are released.
