Abstract

The interim fix XC70031 is an update to the WebSphere Process Server and WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus lazy parsing mode in Version 7.0.0 Fix Pack 3.

The interim fix XC70031 updates the business object lazy parsing mode, which is supported for use with mediation components in WebSphere Process Server and WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus Version 7.0.0 Fix Pack 3.

Use of the business object lazy parsing mode was previously not fully supported for mediation flow components with Version 7.0.0 Fix Pack 3. For modules containing mediation flow components, use of the business object lazy parsing mode was only offered as a technology preview. This interim fix extends the support for use of business object lazy parsing mode to include use with mediation flow components.

Prerequisites

This interim fix can only be installed on top of WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus or WebSphere Process Server Version 7.0.0 Fix Pack 3

This fix pack is installed using the IBM Installation Manager.

Installation Instructions


You can install the interim fix repository using the IBM Installation Manager.

Download the composite repository from Fix Central:

  1. Download and save the 7.0.0.3-WS-WBI-IFIC70031_repository.zip repository file from Fix Central using the Download Package links below.
  2. Extract the compressed (.zip) file to a local directory. For example: c:\temp.
  3. Launch the IBM Installation Manager and click File > Preferences.
  4. Click Add Repository, and browse the file system for the repository.config file, which will be in the location you extracted the .zip file. For example:
    c:\temp\7.0.0.3-WS-WBI-IFIC70031_repository\repository.config
  5. Click Open and then OK. This repository.config file will then be listed as a location in the repositories view. Ensure the check box is selected.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Within the main Installation Manager window, click Update. The Installation Manager searches the locations to show the Update Packages view.
  8. In the Update Packages view, select the installation you need to update and click Next. You will then be presented with the following files that are associated with the XCI interim fix:
    • 7.0.0.3-WS-WBI-IFIC71899 7.0.3.20100824_2115
    • 7.0.0.3-WS-WBI-IFIC71910 7.0.3.20100824_2115
    • 7.0.0.3-WS-WBI-IFIC71911 7.0.3.20100824_2115
    • 1.0.1.7-WS-WASSCA-IFPM25391 1.0.1007.20100818_1634
    • 1.0.0.7-WS-WASXML-IFPM24730
    • 1.0.0.7-WS-WASXML-IFPM24840
    • 1.0.0.7-WS-WASXML-IFPM26729
  9. Ensure they are all selected and click Next.
  10. Click Update on the Summary page to install this interim fix.
