Abstract

The IBM HTTP Server can fail with an upload that is greater than 2 GB if SSL is used. The same upload works if SSL is not used, and smaller uploads work over SSL.

PM10270 resolves the following problem:

ERROR DESCRIPTION:
The IBM HTTP Server can fail with an upload that is greater than 2 GB if SSL is used. The same upload works if SSL is not used, and smaller uploads work over SSL.

PROBLEM SUMMARY

USERS AFFECTED:
Users of IBM HTTP Server with HTTP uploads over SSL exceeding 2 gigabytes.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
Failures may occur during HTTP upload over SSL when the request body exceeds 2 gigabytes.

RECOMMENDATION:
Apply this fix if uploads exceeding 2 gigabytes are performed over an SSL connection.

PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
The mod_ibm_ssl routines that perform low-level I/O operations were updated to properly handle large uploads.
