Abstract

This document describes how to use IBM Passport Advantage to download components for IBM OmniFind Enterprise Edition and IBM OmniFind Enterprise Starter Edition, Version 9.1

AIX 64-bit systems
- AIX 5.3, TL 5300-06 or later
- AIX 6.1

Space requirements

2000 MB of disk space plus 1800 MB of temporary disk space is required to install the software.
The disk space requirements for running an OmniFind Enterprise Edition system can vary depending on the number of documents to be crawled, the types of data sources to be crawled, and how documents are parsed, indexed, and queried.

Go to Download package and click the HTTP link to access the IBM Passport Advantage Online Web site. After you log in with your customer information, click the Software download & media access link to download OmniFind Enterprise Edition software.

Downloading and assembling the product

Download all of the parts that you need, both required and optional. The parts are described by platform in the tabbed sections of this document.
Unpack each of the parts into a single temporary directory on your system.
Follow the instructions in the Quick Start Guide to install the product on a single server, or follow the detailed instructions in the Installation Guide to install the product on one or more servers.

Downloadable parts

There are required and optional parts in the OmniFind Enterprise Edition Multilingual eAssembly and OmniFind Enterprise Edition Starter Edition Multilingual eAssembly. See the tables below for details about what each part contains. At a minimum, you must download one of the items in the required parts table. The other parts are optional.

Required part
To install OmniFind Enterprise Edition or OmniFind Enterprise Edition Starter Edition on AIX, you must download one of the following parts:

CZH6JML.tar	IBM OmniFind Enterprise Edition 9.1 for AIX Contains the core installation files.
CZH6KML.tar	IBM OmniFind Enterprise Starter Edition 9.1 for AIX Contains the core installation files.

Optional parts
You can download any of the following parts:

CZH6DML.zip	IBM OmniFind Enterprise Edition Quick Start Contains the Quick Start Guide and product documentation in all available languages.
CZH6GML.zip	IBM OmniFind Enterprise Edition Agent for Windows File Systems Enables crawling of Windows file systems.
C1G0XML.tar.gz	WebSphere Application Server V7.0 (32-bit) Contains the software for the recommended version of WebSphere Application Server, 32-bit. Important: You must also install Fix Pack 3 or later.
C1G0ZML.tar.gz	WebSphere Application Server V7.0 Supplements (32-bit), Part 1 of 2 Contains IBM HTTP Server, WebSphere Application Server Plug-in, and Update Installer. Important: You must also install Fix Pack 3 or later.
C1G10ML.tar.gz	WebSphere Application Server V7.0 Supplements (32-bit), Part 2 of 2 Contains the Migration Tool. Important: You must also install Fix Pack 3 or later.
C1G11ML.tar.gz	WebSphere Application Server V7.0 (64-bit) Contains the software for the recommended version of WebSphere Application Server, 64-bit. Important: You must also install Fix Pack 3 or later.

Download Package

On the Passport Advantage Online website, all entitled products are listed on the Software Download and Media Access page. This page provides a guided process for selecting an operating system and the product version that you want to download.

Before you download software, you might want to visit the Passport Advantage Online Help Center and view the Software download and media access tutorial (about 10 minutes). This tutorial shows you how to use Passport Advantage, including how to set preferences, such as the download method and your preferred products, operating system, and language.

When you are ready to download the software:

Click the HTTP link to go to the Passport Advantage Online website.
Sign in with your IBM ID and password. If you have not yet registered, follow the prompts to request access.
Click Software download and media access.
If you are licensed for more than one product, select the program offering that you want to download.
Agree to the license terms.
Optional: Set your download preferences. For example, you can register to receive e-mail notification when product updates become available.
Click Download finder to see a list of available products. Follow the online prompts to select and download product software for IBM OmniFind Enterprise Edition.
