Installation Instructions

Instructions are provided in "readme" files that are included in the download packages.

Download package

The Remote API Client is not available as a separate downloadable fixpack. The 6.4.0.4 version of the Remote API client is only available as a full install from the 6.4.0.5 refresh version of the CS Linux install media.
For the CS Linux Server, you can update an existing installation by applying the fixpack, or you can download the refresh version of the install media to perform a full install. The media refresh packages require Passport Advantage entitlement for access. The new support for GSKIT v8 is only added through the refreshed install media; it can not be added by applying the fixpack.
CS Linux is for i686, x86_64, and ppc64.
CS Linux on System z is for zSeries.

The 6.4 version of the Remote API Client is no longer being updated. You should update to the 7.0 version of the client and the latest maintenance for it. See Communications Server for Data Center Deployment, Version 7 -- Latest PTFs/Fixpack. The 7.0 version is fully compatible with the 6.4 server.
