Abstract

The pluginMerge tool can not handle plugin-cfg.xml files generated by all WebSphere Network Deployment edition processes.

PK86862 resolves the following problem:

ERROR DESCRIPTION:
The pluginMerge tool cannot correctly merge plugin-cfg.xml files generated by all WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment processes.

LOCAL FIX:
None

PROBLEM SUMMARY

USERS AFFECTED:
IBM® WebSphere® Application Server V6.0.2 Network Deployment edition users of the pluginMerge tool.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The pluginMerge tool can not handle plugin-cfg.xml files generated by all WebSphere Network Deployment edition processes.

RECOMMENDATION:
None

The pluginMerge tool does not accurately merge plugin-cfg.xml files that are not generated by an on demand configuration process.

PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
The pluginMerge tool has been updated to support merging of plugin-cfg.xml files that are generated by any WebSphere Application Server process.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 6.0.2.39. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for delivery information:
