Abstract
AdminConfig.getId() or ConfigService.resolve() calls return incorrect results when querying at certain containment paths.
Download Description
PK85756 resolves the following problem:
ERROR DESCRIPTION:
AdminConfig.getid() or ConfigService.resolve() calls return incorrect results when certain containment paths are passed in. For example, invoking getId with a path of /Cell:/Node:/Server:/ should return a list of servers. However, this call returns a Node in the results when the cell has multiple nodes.
LOCAL FIX:
None
PROBLEM SUMMARY
USERS AFFECTED:
All users of IBM WebSphere Application Server version 6.0.2.
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
AdminConfig.getId() or ConfigService.resolve() calls return incorrect results when querying at certain containment paths.
RECOMMENDATION:
None
The ConfigService.resolve() call has recursive logic which finds and returns objects that match a specific path. This logic had a bug in it, and so, the results passed back were incorrect. AdminConfig.getId from wsadmin was affected by this bug as well.
PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
The ConfigService.resolve() code has been fixed to handle recursion correctly and return the correct results.
The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 6.0.2.37. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for delivery information:
