This document describes how to download and assemble Optim™ 7.2 components using the Passport Advantage® Web site.
Depending upon your license, Optim 7.2 supports your data growth, data privacy, test data management, and application retirement initiatives for your relational data. Using Optim, you can assess, classify, subset, archive, store, and access enterprise application data across databases and platforms. The archiving features of Optim allow you to segregate historic data from current activity and safely remove it to secure off-line storage, to access the archived data easily, and to restore archived data to its business context when necessary.
The Optim test data management capacity lets you create and populate appropriately sized development and test environments, automatically or manually edit the data in these environments to match your test cases, and compare test results with your original data.
Data privacy features allow you to mask, obfuscate, and privatize personal information that is propagated outside your production environment to prevent misuse of this information.
