IBM Tivoli Monitoring Agent for z/TPF

There are two download packages on this site.

1. The agent installer is for Windows only and installs the agent applications as well as agent application support files for IBM Tivoli Monitoring components: Tivoli Enterprise Monitor Server, Tivoli Enterprise Portal Server and Tivoli Enterprise Desktop Client.
   
2. The Application Support Installer (ASI) installs agent application support files for Tivoli Enterprise Monitor Server, Tivoli Enterprise Portal Server and Tivoli Enterprise Desktop Client on supported AIX, Linux and Linux on System z platforms. The ASI enables IBM Tivoli Monitoring to access the agent running on Windows.

Monitoring Agent for z/TPF requirements:

• IBM Tivoli Monitoring V6.2.2 Fix Pack 2, or later
• WebSphere MQ V7.0 Client, or later
• See the IBM Tivoli Monitoring Agent for z/TPF User's Guide for additional requirements.

Application Support Installer requirements:

• IBM Tivoli Monitoring V6.2.2 Fix Pack 2, or later

TPF requirements:

• z/TPF 1.1 PUT 6 or higher with APAR PJ37284 applied.
• TPF 4.1 PUT 24 or higher with APAR PJ36748 applied.

To download the package, complete the following steps:

1. Go to https://transfer.boulder.ibm.com and sign in to the download server by using your TPF or z/TPF user ID and password.
2. Click the Back button on your browser until you return to this page.
3. Select the link next to the download that you want. You will be asked to click Agree on a standard set of terms and conditions.

After your package is downloaded, complete the following steps, as appropriate:

1. To run the agent installer on Windows:
   1. Download the Monitor Agent for z/TPF package.
   2. Expand the ".zip" file
   3. Run the setup.exe file in the WINDOWS directory. See the IBM Tivoli Monitoring Installation and Setup Guide and IBM Tivoli Monitoring Agent User's Guide for complete installation and configuration information.
      
2. To run the ASI installer on AIX, Linux or Linux for System z platforms:
   1. Download the ASI package.
   2. Expand the tar file.
   3. Run the setup.jar in the CD_ROM directory: java -jar setup.jar. See the ASI_Readme for complete installation information.
