Abstract

The IBM Tivoli Monitoring Agent for z/TPF is a component of continuous data collection (CDC), which is a performance tool that collects z/TPF system performance information.

The monitoring agent is a Windows application that runs in the IBM Tivoli Monitoring environment and uses the Tivoli Enterprise Portal interface. By using the Tivoli Enterprise Portal interface, you can customize CDC data to display in a variety of formats, such as charts, tables, or graphs. You also can configure alerts based on specific situations that you define.

Prerequisites

Client requirements:

• IBM Tivoli Monitoring V6.2.1, or later
• WebSphere MQ V7.0 Client, or later
• See the IBM Tivoli Monitoring Agent for z/TPF User's Guide for additional requirements.

• z/TPF 1.1 PUT 5 or higher with APAR PJ32921 applied.
• TPF 4.1 PUT 23 or higher with APAR PJ32919 applied.
