IBM Rational Synergy installer script (ccm_patch) for installing Synergy patches on UNIX systems
IBM Rational Synergy patch installer script (ccm_patch) for UNIX systems. Patches to Synergy for UNIX systems are in a particular format understood by the ccm_patch command. Individual patches will include instructions on how to install them. If you have a UNIX server, you should install patches on that server using ccm_patch even for patches to the Windows client software.
Ccm_patch needs to be run by the root user to set ownership and permissions of new or modified files in the Synergy installation. Ccm_patch should be run on the system to which the Synergy installation is local. Ccm_patch needs to be run as user ccm_root when applying patches to individual patches.
Download the ccm_patch file into the $CCM_HOME/bin path, owned by ccm_root, with execute permission (mode 0755).
