After running a heavy load for a period of time, Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) proxy stops responding to SIP requests.
PK76241 resolves the following problem:
Running the SIP proxy under load for a period of time leads to a deadlock in the UDP Channel.
All users of WebSphere Application Server V7.0
After running a heavy load for a period of time, Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) proxy stops responding
to SIP requests.
There is a small timing window in the UDP channel that can possibly cause a deadlock between two synchronization blocks. This seemed to only occur at high data rates where the time window is decreased between SIP packets.
The code was rearranged to move one synchronization block outside of the other one. There is now no way for a deadlock to occur with these two synchronized objects.
The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fixpack 188.8.131.52.
