Abstract
The Edge Config XML is not easy to read, and a lack of metadata for the controller configuration group in the console causes an error.

This fix resolves the issues described in two APARs, IC58743 and IC58744.
The issue for APAR IC58743 is that the UTF-8 encoding used in the Edge Config XML file causes the XML to be less human readable because of the way that special characters are encoded. This fix creates more readable XML for configuration verification and XML import.
The issue for APAR IC58744 is that in the WebSphere Premises Server Administrative Console, the controller details page issues an error if the metadata for the controller configuration group does not have a description because the description is used as the label for the metadata field. This fix resolves that error.
