ERROR DESCRIPTION:
JavaServer Pages(JSP) in the WebSphere Commerce application are destroyed and reinitialized every time a JSP is requested.
LOCAL FIX:
None
PROBLEM SUMMARY:
USERS AFFECTED:
IBM WebSphere Application Server version 7.0 users of JavaServer Pages(JSP) on Microsoft Windows.
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
JSP pages may be re-translated on most accesses if there is a Microsoft Windows short name (for example, "c:\Progra~1") in the JSP's path.
RECOMMENDATION:
None
If a WebSphere Application Server environment has been configured to use a Microsoft Windows short name (for example, "c:\Progra~1") in the USER_INSTALL_ROOT environment variable, every access of a page that occurs beyond the reload interval will cause the compiled JSP to be destroyed, retranslated and reinitialized.
PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
The JSP engine was modified to properly handle paths including Microsoft Windows short names.
The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fixpack 7.0.0.3.
