Abstract

This document describes how to download and install IBM® Rational® Robot Version 7.0.2.

Download Description

Rational Robot Version 7.0.2 contains defect fixes to previous versions of Rational Robot.

Rational Robot Version 7.0.2 has the following functionality:

  • Support for testing applications on Microsoft® Windows® Vista Service Pack 1. The supported editions are Vista Business, Ultimate and Enterprise.
  • Install IBM Rational Robot using the Installation Manager graphical user interface.


This version of Rational Robot can only be installed on a computer with the same version or a compatible version of other Rational products. When you upgrade Rational Robot you must upgrade other Rational products on your computer to the same version or a compatible version. For more information, see

Prerequisites


  • Create a backup copy of all the project assets before you attempt to uninstall Rational products.

  • All Rational suite of products must be uninstalled using the uninstall tool.exe file.
    See Uninstall Rational Products.

Installation Instructions

  • If previous version of IBM Rational Robot or any of the previous Rational Suite products are installed on your computer, you must uninstall it using the uninstall tool.exe file. See Uninstall Rational Products.


  • If you are installing IBM Rational Robot, Version 7.0.2, for the first time, install the package from the CD or download the package from IBM Passport Advantage . For information on installing Rational Robot, see the Installation Guide.


  • Passport Advantage customers
    Passport Advantage and Passport Advantage Express customers are required to sign in to Passport Advantage Online to access the actual files for version 7.0.2.
